UX/UI Designer (m/f/d)

München
Full-time
Permanent employee
65,000 - 80,000 € per year

Job Description

At Myra, we develop and operate a certified Security-as-a-Service platform designed to protect digital business processes. Our technology monitors, analyses, and filters malicious internet traffic before cyberattacks can cause actual damage.

The UX/UI Designer (m/f/d) at Myra is not a typical design role. While product teams across the organisation build and ship features, you own the design system that underpins all of them. You are the closest person in the product organisation to how the platform actually looks, feels, and functions - and your job is to make sure that standard is excellent. In an AI-native environment where AI generates screens, components, and layouts at speed, you provide what AI cannot: taste, judgment, and the system-level thinking that makes the entire Myra platform feel like one coherent product.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own and govern the Myra design system - serving as the single source of truth for components, tokens, interaction patterns, spacing, typography, and visual language across all products.
  • Review, refine, and approve AI-generated UI across all product teams, maintaining prompting standards and design briefs that produce better AI output from the start.
  • Commission, conduct, and synthesise UX research proactively - including usability testing, user interviews, session reviews, and heuristic evaluations - and translate findings into actionable design decisions.
  • Ensure cross-product design consistency - overseeing navigation patterns, interaction models, terminology, error states, and empty states across the entire platform.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure implementation matches design intent, and create precise handoff assets that enable correct implementation without constant designer involvement.
  • Participate in product team planning to review upcoming features for design implications before they reach development.

Your Qualifications

  • Design systems ownership - must have owned (not merely contributed to) a design system, with expertise in token architecture, component composition, documentation standards, and governance.
  • Genuine AI design tooling fluency - actively uses AI design tools as a core part of daily workflow, with a clear methodology for integrating AI and the judgment to identify where it falls short.
  • B2B product design experience for technical audiences - proven experience designing for developers, engineers, administrators, or security professionals, with understanding of precision and density in interfaces.
  • UX research proficiency - ability to independently design and run usability studies, conduct user interviews, analyse session recordings, and synthesise qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions.
  • Advanced Figma expertise - fluent in component architecture, auto-layout, variables, and prototyping, with files structured for use by engineers and other designers without guidance.
  • Strong interaction design craft - designs interactions that are behaviourally sound, with the right affordances, feedback loops, error states, and empty states, and the ability to articulate precisely what needs to change and why.
